Squash Topped With Crumble

Squash topped with crumble recipe

You can use any type of your favorite squash for this dish. I love Delicata or Butternut.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut squash in half, remove seeds and place face down in a baking pan. Add a small amount of water. Bake for 30-45 minutes depending on the type of squash. You want it to be nice and soft.

Remove the squash from its skin and mash into another baking dish. Melt 1-2 tablespoons of butter or vegan butter and brush on top of mashed squash. Brush on maple syrup as well. Broil in the oven for about 5 minutes to crisp it up just a bit. Then sprinkle with Battenkill Crumble or Cranberry Crumbs!
